Homeschool Advisory Board Activities Terms of Participation

Effective Date: March 28, 2025

You received an invitation to become a participant (“Participant”) in Mathmaji Co. Ltd (“Mathmaji”) homeschool research activities (“Activities”), and to receive a free trial Mathmaji Plus subscription, because a leader in a homeschool co-op or group to which you belong is a member of the Mathmaji Homeschool Advisory Board (“Homeschool Advisory Board”). Your participation with the Homeschool Advisory Board supports Mathmaji’s research through parent-centered feedback.

These terms, together with the other terms and policy linked herein (collectively, “Terms of Participation”), describe the requirements for your participation in the Activities. Please read these Terms of Participation together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy carefully before you register to be a Participant and obtain a free trial Mathmaji Plus subscription. By registering as a Participant to participate in the Activities, you are agreeing to the following Terms of Participation.

These Terms of Participation are a legal agreement between you and Mathmaji and can only be amended with Mathmaji’s written agreement.

If you do not agree to these Terms of Participation, please do not register to participate in the Activities.

Participant Requirements

You must be at least 18 years old to be a Participant.
All information related to who you are, your name, your address, e-mail address, phone number, and other personally identifying information must be accurate and complete.
You must use a unique e-mail address.
All submissions or disclosures of opinions or any other feedback (“Contributions”) that you provide must be truthful, accurate and complete.
You will be given a free trial Mathmaji Plus subscription. Your free Mathmaji Plus subscription will expire on December 31, 2025 (“Trial Period”), if not cancelled by you or terminated by Mathmaji at an earlier time. If your free trial Mathmaji Plus subscription is not cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the Trial Period, it will be renewed automatically and your account will be charged for an annual Mathmaji Plus subscription at Mathmaji’s then-current subscription rates.
As a condition of your Participant registration and trial subscription to Mathmaji Plus, you agree to share your insights with us through two surveys during the 2025 fall semester.
Failure to complete a survey, activity, or any other solicitation within the specified period may result in the termination of your Participant registration and free trial Mathmaji Plus subscription.
Mathmaji and the Texas Home School Coalition (“THSC”) may communicate with you via e-mail or text (SMS) using the e-mail address or phone number you submit, and you understand that by agreeing to these Terms of Membership, you consent to receive such communications from Mathmaji and THSC.
You agree that this is an opt-in activity where the primary purpose is participation in research regarding the use of Mathmaji in educational settings, and that your relationship with Mathmaji is independent in nature. You agree not to claim to be a partner, employee, agent, or joint venture partner of or with Mathmaji or claim any benefits available to the personnel of Mathmaji under/before any law or forum.
You acknowledge that you have no authority to act on behalf of Mathmaji, including, without limitation, to enter into any contract or agreement on behalf of and in the name of Mathmaji.
You agree that you have not entered into any other understandings and/or agreements with Mathmaji regarding the submission of Contributions.

Use of Participant Contributions

All Contributions are voluntary on your part. No contractual relationship is established by your submission or is to be implied by our review and/or subsequent use of your submitted material.
Mathmaji shall not be liable for any disclosure of any Contributions you submit. Likewise, you agree that Mathmaji shall not be obligated to use or disclose any Contributions you submit, for commercial purposes or otherwise. Mathmaji will not attribute your Contributions to you by name in any disclosure without your prior consent.
By participating in the Homeschool Advisory Board, you agree that with respect to any Contributions you provide, you forever waive all claims of ownership. All Contributions shall be the sole property of Mathmaji, and Mathmaji shall be entitled to unrestricted use of any submissions it may receive from you, for any purpose whatsoever, commercial or otherwise, without compensation to you as provider of the submission.

Mathmaji reserves the right to:

Deny your Participant registration, solely at the discretion of Mathmaji.
Terminate your Participant registration and free trial Mathmaji Plus subscription at any time upon notice to you.
Dissolve the Homeschool Advisory Board and terminate your rights under these Terms of Participation immediately at any time and for any reason.
Amend these Terms of Participation at any time, but you will be notified of any such changes and given the opportunity to opt out of being a Participant.
